Which politician resembles you?

In collaboration with KiesKompas, Hart van Nederland and Talpa, we created a unique questionnaire tool at Elastique. Unlike other questionnaires, it’s goal isn't to determine your political stance or suggest a party. Instead, it aims to find the politician you have the most in common with. The questions are about day to day activities and you as a person. The outcome might surprise some people! It shows that politicians are human and you could be a perfect match with someone regardless of political views!
About the design
The questionnaire is build around a traditional board game of “Who am I” - in which players need to find out who they are by asking each other questions. Each question phases out a person which makes a card fall over. The board for our questionnaire is completely cosmetic and cannot be interacted with directly, but it does react after you vote on a question. As you progress through the questionnaire more cards will fall until you reach the end and are matched with your top 3 of politicians.
The questionnaire consists of the following screens:

- Result
- Comparison
The UX is fairly pragmatic. All interactions are positioned in the bottom half of the screen. The questionnaire consists of three sections:
- Key visual — Animated, non-tappable, positioned on top to avoid user interaction
- Topic — Has a direct relation to the voting controls and is therefore positioned above it
- Voting controls — Easy to reach
The questionnaire has been submitted 680.000 times over the course of two elections.
